ATTORNEY
Patrick W. Shuler
Associate attorney Patrick W. Shuler joined the firm in 2024 to handle commercial real estate, corporate law, and contractual transactions. His experience as a writer and editor made him a natural fit for contractual work.
As a law student at the University of Georgia School of Law, Patrick served as a Research Assistant to Professor Curtis C. Nesset and the Legal Writing Department. Patrick also assisted Professor Mehrsa Baradaran with editing her legal publications on contract law. He served as the Chief Justice of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, conducted mediations in landlord and tenant disputes in the Athen-Clark County Courthouse, and tried felony cases through the Prosecution Clinic.
Upon graduating, Patrick worked for five years as an Assistant District Attorney in Hall County, trying all manner of cases from thefts to attempted murders. He also served for four years as the prosecutor for Judge Kathlene Gosselin’s H.E.L.P. Court, a mental health accountability court program, which he found highly rewarding.
Patrick graduated cum laude from Georgia Southern University with a double major in Writing & Linguistics and English Literature. He served as the Editor-in-Chief for Fledge, an annual university publication, and has been published as an author in the United States and the United Kingdom. He is an avid reader, a lifelong singer and guitarist, and the proud owner of a gigantic Anatolian Shepherd.
